'A forensic account of life
on the edge in Sheffield towards the end of the 20th century. It ricochets from life to love to madness to recovery - not necessarily in that order! Will ring bells for many people - read it!' Polly Mortimer (Former Editor of Pendulum Magazine.) |

This report is an important
development in making government policy and survivor aspirations a reality.
It makes a unique contribution to supporting policy to enable mental health
service users / survivors, who want to, to move from benefits to employment.
It brings together a wide range of survivors first hand experience
of work, highlighting achievements, as well as the issues and obstacles
facing them, and suggests ways forward. Professor Peter Beresford, Director of the Citizens Participation Unit, Brunel University
